CROSSGATES RIVER OAKS HOSPITAL TO HOST BABYSITTER'S COURSE
Saturday, July 31st - 8:30 am to 3:0 pm
Crossgates River Oaks Hospital, North Annex

Sign up now for the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Course designed for ages 11 to 15. This interactive and fun course teaches first aid and how to supervise infants through school age children. Learn basic care such as diapering, feeding, dressing and how to handle bedtime issues. Brandon Mayor Tim Coulter will have a tent with the Mayor’s G Team Challenge- Get up…Get movin’…Get healthy!! Any K-6th grade child who signs up that night for this six week challenge will be eligible for their family to win a six month membership to The Club in Brandon. If the participant completes the challenge, he may then send in his name for a drawing for a bicycle that will be presented at a City Board Meeting.

A joint operation between the Mississippi Department of Human Services and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security is providing paid workers through September 30, 2010 for businesses in the area.

The Program will: (1) Pay the workers at $8.00 per hour for not more than 40 hours and not less than 32 hours per week to a maximum of 320 hours for the duration of the program; (2) Provide an orientation to the program for your supervisors and the workers; (3) Recruit and match the workers to the jobs you have available; (4) Provide Workers Comp coverage.
